Smart Solar's history
Smart Solar was established in 2003 initially to develop and market products powered by renewable solar energy for the home and garden. Since then, Smart Solar has grown into one of the world’s leading solar powered garden product suppliers.
Sales have grown over 400% from 2003 to 2009, reflecting the increasing demand for products powered by renewable energy.
Smart Solar head office is just outside Oxford in the UK, with additional offices in the USA, Germany and France.
Our solar consumer products are sold through major retailers, garden centres, catalogues and e-commerce companies worldwide.
Smart Solar has recently expanded its business into the solar microgeneration market. The senior management have extensive experience in the solar industry, including the manufacturing of solar panels, so the company is well placed to be offering complete solar solutions.
The company is also looking to expand in other areas of renewable energy and environmental technologies.
