Installation
Our lowest cost standard system is a 1.2kW solar array, designed to be mounted on the ground. To maximise the feed-in tariff rate, you could install a system up to 4kW. At the other extreme, we can also supply larger systems on commercial properties.
The framing for the solar array is easy to assemble and once assembled the solar panels slide into the housing and are simply connected together using cables supplied. This part of the installation could be done by the householder themselves, otherwise we can provide installation at extra cost.
We can also supply a roof-mounted system - see further information on this site.
Once the solar array is assembled, you need to have this connected to your consumer unit inside the property, so it is advisable to locate the array as much as is possible near to the consumer unit. The secure cabling for this would need to be either dug into the ground or run discreetly above ground back to the consumer unit using the armour cabling supplied. We can provide this service at extra cost.
Our certified installer will then check the solar system, the connections and consumer unit, and make the final connection from the solar system to the property itself. Once this is done and the system paid for, you are issued with a completion certificate which you need to claim your government grant.
